Joel and Phil in Indonesia testing for wells

Dear CMK Family,

Friends, God has done so much! He has answered prayers, He has gone before us, He has made a way to those in need. Only one month into this new year and God has already funded THREE COMMUNITY WELLS in critical areas, two of which are very closed to the Gospel--in Indonesia on Sumba Island, in Nepal near the border of Tibet, and in Isiolo in Northern Kenya. (We'll share more about the miracle of each one)

Indonesia: Sumba Island

While in Indonesia, Joel, Phil, and James with Surge travelled extensively on three different islands--Bali, Sumba, and Timor. They taught at Pastor's Conferences and the opening of a new church plant. They traveled by dirt bike deep into remote mountain villages. They had to hike mountains by foot to reach areas that needed testing for water (dirt bikes couldn't even reach it). While there, God showed us the urgent need for water and the Gospel. He also showed us a need that we could fulfill to help get the Gospel into more areas. Pastor Paulus has 54 Christian radio stations, each one reaches 100,000 people and they are seeing on average two people per day come to Christ through their stations! Paulus sends radios into remote areas so they can hear the Gospel for the first time. He needed dirt bikes for pastors to reach these remote areas. Through your support we were able to purchase TWO dirt bikes--one each for Sumba and Timor Islands. Thank you for your continued support to further the Gospel. We pray more wells can be funded for these remote tribes. Please keep Pastor Paulus and these islands in your prayers!

Sumba and Timor island, however, are only one of THOUSANDS of islands in Indonesia that have never heard the name of Jesus. Who will tell them?

Friends, I have to share this story with you, one I can't share on social media because we still need to be able to get into muslim countries and we need to protect those who are establishing Christian works there. When I heard what I'm about to share, I broke down in tears and was led into a weighty time of prayer. While in Indonesia, Joel had a conversation with Pastor Paulus who has been planting over 1,500 churches across the Islands. He explained that on several islands he was praying to reach with the Gospel, but was waiting on more people and resources, he was receiving reports that many islands were converting to Islam when the Muslims came and drilled a well for them. Entire islands converted because of a well. While we are very thankful the poor are receiving clean water, we are at the same time heartbroken that they are converting to a false religion.

The enemy is not sitting back, he is attempting to copy the Lord's strategies, but the enemy is doing it to keep entire generations in bondage to fear and hopelessness instead of hope and new life in Christ. If the Muslims are intentionally proselytizing through wells, how much more should we care as the Body of Christ? We know the truth of God's love and forgiveness, we have the Good News that rescues souls from eternal death and separation from God! God uses the wells we drill to TESTIFY of HIM!

We can't stop now, we must keep going! We are asking God for more of His children to go into the world with the Good News, for entire islands and nations to be saved, for billions of souls to hear the name of Jesus Christ and for wells to be established for the most unreached. Let's LIVE what we believe and in LOVE let's tell the WORLD!

PRAISE REPORT: Before Joel arrived home from Indonesia, before his feet even touched the ground here, two different people offered to fund half a well for the Pogawatu people on Sumba Island in Indonesia! The entire well is funded for this leper colony Joel and his dad just tested for water in! God made a way and we are praying for this island to be saved!

Nepal: Karnali Province near Tibet

Testimony we can't share on social media to protect those we partner with (we can't share all they do, but I will mention the church plants)

Over two years ago, Joel stood in this spot, 12,000 feet up in the mountains, with the apostolic pastor KB, praying for a well to be funded for this village. KB and his wife have been planting churches to reach his country--a country it is illegal to share the gospel in. Now he is planting a church high in these mountains overlooking Tibet and a well has just been drilled here! Donations were given by faithful supporters to start the project over a year ago, but in a last minute effort to complete it, much more was needed. The Mission Church just gave the remaining funds needed to see this project finished. God is moving and His Will is being accomplished!

Northern Kenya: Isiolo

Our new Kenya Directors, Erick and Megan Mwenda, have been ministering in the dry and arid lands in Isiolo, Northern Kenya. When we visited this area with them last summer we saw the need for water and for the Gospel. This area is home to the Turkana tribes and also heavily influenced by Muslims. The need is great and we have been praying for a well here. We know it will be a strong anchor point for the Gospel. God answered just this month by an incredible donation! Time and time again, God shows that He is the One who answers when the poor cry out for help and for water.

Honduras

In Honduras, Pastor Aiden is drilling the 8th well with our CMK Drill! It continues to help the most needy communities.

1% for the Unreached

God ANSWERS the thirsty! He is longing for the Unreached! We have started a campaign called 1% for the Unreached. We are encouraging everyone--individuals, churches, businesses--to consider participating in the Great Commission and give 1% to reach the UNREACHED.
