Now Words and New Wine

Seven new wells have been installed in Pakistan!

“For I the Lord will speak, and whatever word I speak will be accomplished. It will no longer be delayed, for in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and I will fulfill it,” says the Lord God.’ “  Ezekiel 12:25

The Lord is giving His Word and fulfilling it.  Another verse says..

“The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills…” Amos 9:13

.....We are in these days!

This is a year of “Now” words being fulfilled by the Lord. Now words and New wine...planting and reaping all at once!  We are seeing this in the nations.  Years and years of sparse planting and resistance to the Gospel is giving way to abundant harvest!  

Already this year, God has provided newly installed wells in Honduras, eight in Guyana, and four in Pakistan!  Also in this new year, God has led us to two new countries, soon to be three.  He specifically impressed two countries in the Middle East—Iraq and Turkey— on our hearts and within weeks He opened the doors and made the connections.  We were asked to come bring water in a partnership with Light a Candle into Iraq and Turkey. Since January, we have been in Guyana, Paraguay, Iraq, and Mexico with a team set to leave for Turkey the end of this month.  What God did in these countries has left us amazed and brimming with hope and joy!!

In Iraq...

Many churches in our area contributed to the purchase of $10k worth of whole home water filters from Filter of Hope.  Joel and Jon Ross were able to distribute the filters home to home with Light a Candle missionaries in Iraq.  Being welcomed into homes provided the unique opportunity to share the Gospel out of sight of the Islamic religious leaders.  The people were deeply moved to receive these filters and while showing them how to use them Joel was able to share the Gospel in depth with them.  Many families asked questions about the Gospel for hours!  They were hungry for the truth!  This has sparked an intense desire in us to reach these muslim countries with the Gospel of Jesus.  There is only one young missionary couple in this region sharing the Gospel in homes.  We are praying for them and for more to hear the call from our Savior to go.  The people live in fear and oppression and are desperate for the love of Jesus.  The harvest is ripe!!  Joel will be going to Turkey in late March with Legend, Jon Ross, and Brice to partner again with Light a Candle.

In Paraguay...

What GOD DID in PARAGUAY has us in tears!!  An entire Guarani village wants to receive Jesus and be baptized!!  In a remote part of Paraguay, missionaries Tanner and Randi Linn with their young children have learned the Guarani language and have built a church in an effort to reach the still unreached villages of Guarani.  God put it on our hearts to come alongside them and further the gospel by bringing clean water.   We planned to bring $20k to drill a deep well, but ended up only raising $500.  Joel and Kright went anyways knowing God wanted them to go and trusting He would multiply.  God not only miraculously supplied a well, but listen to what the chief said, "Others have come to tell us about your God but left, but because you have done what you said you would, we want to serve your God.  Our village wants to be baptized."

So many miracles!!  The back story is that the small drill they found was unreliable and the driller kept disappearing, so they gave up on it and left the site, leaving it up to God to get the well accomplished.  God showed up!!  The next day they got a call that clean water was flowing! That day God also provided a commission mankind drilling rig which is being shipped to Paraguay and the first six wells for more Guarani villages are fully funded!  We need ten more villages to receive wells and we are believing God to complete the good work He has begun.  When God guides, He absolutely provides!  

In Guyana...

In December Joel led a team of missionaries to Guyana to drill wells in the jungle.  In February, those two missionaries Jared and Scout and one more young missionary named Caleb, took what they learned and returned to Guyana to successfully drill eight wells for villages that are very hard to reach! This was an incredible accomplishment and Joel was excited that it was done while he was in another country on mission. These are God's yes men and they persevered through intense heat, rainfall, challenging jungle transportation, and very little resources to work with.  They slept in hammocks in the jungle and Jared was bitten by a poisonous spider.  Thankfully he was treated here in the States and has recovered.  We're thankful for these mighty laborers in the Kingdom!  Thank you for keeping our missions teams in your prayers.

In Pakistan and Honduras...

In Pakistan, four wells have been finished!  This is a LIGHT in a dark place very closed to the Gospel.  We are partnering with a solid ministry led by Pakistan Christians and a cement marker is engraved with 'JESUS IS THE LIVING WATER' in Urdu!  In a place where few missionaries go, the ROCKS are testifying of JESUS.  God amazes us.

In Honduras, Pastor Aiden continues to use the Commission Mankind drilling rig to help hurting villages.  The most recent one was done for a village that lined up for the water with all their jugs at the ready.  They were so excited and so grateful to God.  It never gets old to see people drinking clean water for the first time.

THANK YOU for being a part of this NOW WORD (The Living Word) and NEW WINE (The Living Water) movement of God's heart for the nations!  Many more are sitting in darkness and thirsty for the Living Water only Jesus can provide.  

Prayer Points:

+ We are praying for God to keep guiding us to those harvest fields ripe for the Gospel in unreached areas!  Believing God to continue to provide for Nepal wells.  And for more in the Middle East, India, Asia and Mexico.  All over the world, Lord!

+Joel will be leaving this month for Turkey with our son Legend and Jon Ross and Bryce.  God's guidance, supernatural connections, and protection is needed.  They will be doing a water project in the area of the biblical Antioch.

+Our whole family along with our awesome field missionaries Jon Ross and Scout will be returning to Kenya in April and we are praying for protection and God's Spirit to empower us for His work.

We pray you and your families are blessed this Christmas with great REJOICING!  Rejoicing that the Light came down to scatter the darkness, the Prince of Peace Himself stepped into our bleakness and rescued us from all that defeated us.  He came to bring JOY to the NATIONS, He came to bring joy to you.  You live in the Light and through you, JESUS LIVES AND SHINES.

There are still those sitting in darkness, unaware the Light has come.  They are waiting to see the Light of Jesus we carry.

Dear Family In Christ,

A few weeks ago we had our first team arrive from Eagle Heights Church of Memphis and we made the long journey to the Maasai well Celebration in Nkiu near the Masa Mara.  It was one of the most rigorous trips we have made with a large team but in the end all the hardship was worth it to see FIVE Maasai give their lives to Christ Jesus and be baptized!  

The mountain trail we had to traverse to get to this remote village had been ravaged by rains.  We had to cross several rivers and climb steep mountain ravines.  It was a battle to get our vehicles there and back safely two times.  Our amazing team drivers put everything they had into scaling this mountain.  We're so thankful for the way they faced this challenge with courage and determination.  It was a miracle we made it!

We had a lot of vehicle break downs and physically and emotionally we were all feeling the effects of intense spiritual warfare.  Joel had to go up the mountain at 3 am to prepare the baptismal for the celebration.  He ended up sleeping in a hammock connected to the well.  That morning when we all arrived at the well site we felt the presence of God.  We partnered with local missionaries Aaron and Stephanie Domengeaux and pastors associated with Kufikia International to bless the widows with goats and food staples.  It was a beautiful celebration full of Maasai worship songs and dances.  The gospel was preached and there were many that came forward for prayers for healing and deliverance.  We saw God's Spirit move powerfully on some of the newly baptized believers.  

"for I satisfy the thirsty person and feed all those who are weak."

Jeremiah 31:25

The Lord is our strength.  When we are weak and tired and thirsty, He provides all we need.  It's painful when we come to the end of ourselves, but only at the end of our resources can Christ begin to truly satisfy us.  His wellspring never runs out.  But we have to intentionally draw from Him--bury our lives deep within Him and keep our connection with Him strong.  It's in knowing He has all we need and freely gives it to us, we can be replenished. 

It's so important to remain connected to our Wellspring--Jesus.  And to keep on adding to our faith and trust in Christ even when the cost is high and it's not easy.  This particular well site was drilled five times and didn't hit water until the fifth try.  The government said there was no water and others said it couldn't be done.  We heard God tell us to pray and contend for it--to obey Him and begin the work--trusting that He would provide the water and the way.  He provided!!  Through New Wine Christian Fellowship, Eagle Heights Church of Memphis and many of you, God made a way!!  We are so thankful for all of you.

This was an intense and rigorous trip and we are grateful for the way Eagle Heights Church of Memphis and Pam Englade pressed on in grace and in prayer. They blessed our family and team so much and encouraged our hearts mightily. The Lord brought a lot of healing through them. It was wonderful to see the young people that came serving and sharing the gospel, the children that received new shoes and the widows that are rejoicing over God's provision!

 We want to encourage you that Jesus has all we need and it flows into our lives as we REMAIN in Him--trusting in His goodness and mercy and faithfulness towards us.  Diligently stay close and  connected to His Wellspring.

Friends, we want to thank you for the way you love what God loves and obey Him in supporting His Great Commission.

Prayer Points:

• Be in prayer with us for the missions teams we have scheduled to the end of July

• We are praying for Holy Spirit to lead and guide us and to empower us to do His will and preach the Gospel of Jesus 

• Pray that many souls will hear and put their trust in Jesus!

• Pray that our vehicles will not break down or need anymore costly repairs.

• Pray for the refreshing and blessing of our team

May God strengthen you and bless you and your families!  May Jesus return to find us all faithfully serving Him.  And may we remain in His Love.

Dear Family In Christ,

God's love is wrapped into all His works!  Psalm 145 is our anthem--God's kindness never fails! 

Our family of nine arrived on Kenyan soil April 2 and we immediately began water testing in Maasai land, scouting for a new well site, and sharing the Gospel in the market place and in our local church.  Despite sickness and Thad wrecking on his dirt bike while scouting for a remote location, God has kept us.  Thad is almost fully recovered, the torn tendons in his arm are healing. 

The very place in Maasai land where we are drilling is the place we took missions teams last year and bowed low in the dust asking God for water for this suffering community.  In the dust we prayed and from the dust, God brought water!

In spite of many challenges and even drilling one dry hole, God answered!!

"God, everyone sees your goodness, for your tender love is blended into everything you do.  Everything you have made will praise you, fulfilling its purpose.  And all your godly ones will be found bowing before you.  They will tell the world of the lavish splendor of your kingdom and preach about your limitless power.

They will demonstrate for all to see your miracles of might and reveal the glorious majesty of your kingdom

Psalms 145: 9-12

It's us, God's people, that bow low to lift Him high.  

These verses in Psalms 145 define our purpose.  We "will tell the world of the lavish splendor of your your kingdom and preach about your limitless power".  And we  "will demonstrate for all to see your miracles of might and reveal the glorious majesty of your kingdom."

It goes hand in hand--Telling the world of God's power and demonstrating His miracles.

"You have captured our attention and the eyes of all look to you.  You give what they hunger for at just the right time.  When you open your generous hand, it's full of blessings, satisfying the longings of every living thing.  You are fair and righteous in everything you do, and your love is wrapped into all your works.  You draw near to those who call out to you, listening closely, especially when their hearts are true.  Every godly one receives even more than what they ask for.  For you hear what their hearts really long for, and you bring them your saving strength."

Psalms 145: 15-19

The Lord brings His Saving Strength!  When we are weak and we don't see any way forward, we have a God who listens when we call to Him and He draws near with saving strength.

In the following weeks, we will begin testing and drilling in another very suffering community God led Joel and Thad to find.  We will be preaching at a conference for youth and sharing the gospel wherever God opens the door.  Joye continues to teach a weekly women's Bible study with the local women of our village.  We are also working on planning outreaches and preparing our vehicles so we can transport the five missions teams that are coming to serve with us.

We continue to pray for REVIVAL of this land!  May God pour the river of His Spirit out!

Prayer Point:  For the next well site to be drilled successfully.  That the Gospel will go forward at every well site and many will be saved, healed, and delivered in Jesus' name.  For REVIVAL.  For traveling mercies and spiritual covering over all.  For Jesus to be Glorified and receive the reward of His suffering.

We thank God for every single one of you who continue to pray for us and support what God is doing!  

May God strengthen you and bless you and your families!  The nations belong to the Lord and they are Christ's inheritance.  May He return to find us all faithfully serving Him.

Dear Family In Christ,

The GOOD NEWS brings GREAT JOY to ALL PEOPLE! This is the good news: God would plan the greatest rescue of all time and it wouldn't look the way we would imagine a King would plan a rescue. This King would come to us as the smallest and most vulnerable of all. He
is Emmanuel--God WITH US. In our bleakness, in our hopelessness, in our pain and poverty, God chooses to be with us in it all. He came humbly, lived among us humbly, and rescued us through his humble death on a cross. This was His plan. This is the Good News! God pursues us, chooses us, and gives His life freely for us to be with Him forever. Jesus did for us what we could never do for ourselves. He paid for our freedom with His own life and blood. What we could never earn, He freely GAVE.

And when we GO AND GIVE without expecting anything in return, we are walking in His footsteps. This is what Kingdom Life looks like! GOING to the lost and the hurting and the broken and giving Jesus.

This Christmas, we want to thank you for having the heart of Christ for the world He came to save.

Our prayer is one the angels sang--for God to be Glorified in all the Earth!

There is Much REJOICING this year.... In Kenya...

This year alone 4 deep community well projects were funded with the 4th being completed this December! That's an impact of over 40,000 new people this year alone experiencing clean water! 445 people were baptized into new life at the well celebrations and received Bibles! $20,000 was

raised for 2,500 students to receive new shoes and five amazing missions teams came to serve these communities.

In Honduras...

God led us to a little girl's village in need of clean water and two trips later, we have purchased a drilling rig that has arrived in Honduras! The project will be completed in 2024.

In Mexico...

After making the trip to Acuna and God connecting our hearts to the people, we purchased a drilling rig to be used to drill for Mexico and it is being modified to send soon!

In Paraguay...

Our example of RAM pump technology has been utilized by the local missionaries there and is blessing many villages. We are looking into purchasing drilling equipment for the remote villages with no access to rivers.

In Nepal...

Our 4th Well is being completed in Nepal! We made two trips this year and have seen God move mightily through the ministry of these wells and the faithful servants of Christ in Nepal. Jesus is being made known!

In Pakistan...

This year, God led us to divine connections in Pakistan and showed us the exact spot to drill. Funds were raised for 8 wells, establishing a light for Jesus in a very unreached region.

In Guyana...

God connected us to Guyana and we made two trips there with teams. One CMK team was led by three young missionaries bringing water filters to children suffering from water borne illnesses. We have raised the funds for the first water project which is in progress in the village of Warapoka. We will be returning with plans to help engineer more projects.

In India...

We traveled to Bangalore and stayed with a missionary family and close friends at a remote orphanage near Channai. We had no agenda, but God made it clear we were to drill for this orphanage and community. We already hired a geologist, God provided the funds through our supporters, and we hope to drill soon!!

In Tanzania...

The well for the Hadzabe is being repaired after severe storms. It continues to be a blessing to this tribe and a means to reach more of the clans.

In South Sudan...

The well completed last year is a huge testimony of God's love to the Toposa and Dinka tribes. Another large baptism is being planned for these tribes by John Duot Duong.

All throughout the earth, there is rejoicing!

We Rejoice over all the Lord has done and we Rejoice that together, He lets us be part of His Good News to all the Earth.

Thank you for your giving that makes the Good News keep getting to those who need to hear it!

May your Christmas and New Year be filled with the Hope and Light of the World.

Great Joy has come! And the world can never take it away. It's found in the Good News of our salvation through Christ alone.

Arise, Shine!

"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the LORD will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you." Isaiah 60: 1-2

Dear CMK Friends and Family,

These verses in Isaiah 60 tell us where God wants His glory to be
seen and it's UPON YOU. Let the GLORY of the Lord shine and be seen on you! When the darkness seems to increase, the LIGHT is ever greater. The world is sin-sick and weary, but we know the SAVIOR and are sent to reveal Him to the world in EVER-INCREASING GLORY.

This year, the Lord has been speaking to us about His Glory and His Presence. In His Presence we have all we need for life and health and purpose. Everywhere we go, we anticipate that He has gone before us. As long as we keep following, He will always lead. As long as we look to Him, we will see His glory.

TANZANIA

It's For His Glory we travel to tell those who have never heard...

Joel and some of the team travelled into the interior of Tanzania to make contact with an unreached tribe called the Assa on the Joshua Project site. This was a hard trip with days of rigorous traveling. They met the chief of this tribe and learned the name of the tribe has been changed. Now that we know the region this tribe is in we will be able to plan more outreaches. On the return trip, Joel stopped by our well site next to a Hadzabe camp. The Hadzabe chief met him there and told him he has many more camps further in the bush that are hurting for water. They travelled farther with the chief and in each camp the chief would explain, "this is the man who brought my camp water and can help you learn about God." Many of these camps had never heard about the Gospel and were eager to hear. In one camp, buckets of dirty water were carried in and little children ran to the buckets, so thirsty they drank straight from the muddy containers. We felt God's heart arranging this trip and clearly leading our steps.

Prayer Focus: That God will give us the grace and provision to reach more of these unreached people with the Gospel and with clean water. He loves them and longs for them to know salvation through Jesus Pray that a second well will be drilled near unreached camps of Hadzabe.

KENYA

It's for His Glory we share the good news of Jesus in words and in actions...

Whether it's sharing in our local church here in Kenya alongside Pastor Kisinga, praying for the sick, or connecting with Jesus' body of believers throughout the land to reach the lost, the cross is our focus. It's been a joy to see our kids eager to lay hands and anoint the sick with us. We have seen prayers of

healing answered already and know our God is a miracle working God, a faithful Father and loving Savior. Astair has been giving art classes with the local kids and it's been a joy to watch our girls use their gifts to show God's love.
This month has not been without challenges for our family. We've battled giardia and mango flies but God has given us the grace to overcome and He's poured His love into our hearts. We're so thankful for the families that reached out to us with support! We're thankful for every one of you.

The First Well of the Season is being Drilled!!

Joel and Thad have covered hundreds of miles surveying villages in need of water. Boston and Legend have also covered miles of terrain as well. We're pretty grateful for their commitment and hard work. Just today, Thad and Boston went with Joel to the first drill site of the season in a village called Senda that has struggled for a long time to get water. The picture above is where they have been collecting water. We're excited for what God has planned for this village and the others that will be receiving God's miracles of provision, salvation, healing, and deliverance!

Prayer Focus: That the drilling will be a success and the work will continue to be blessed and increased. That God's Word will be proclaimed and that many will be saved, healed, and delivered. That God's protection will be on us all in our traveling, in our living, in all that we do.

NEPAL & PAKISTAN

The third well has been drilled in Nepal! Pastors KB and Sushila held a well celebration ceremony and fed the community that came. Many of these communities are located in rice fields where the water has arsenic and these fresh water wells are saving lives! The second well has been drilled in Pakistan and we are on target to drill 6 more! Due to the sensitive nature of this location, we can't share specifics, but on the edge of darkness, the Light is Shining! God is being glorified!

All throughout the earth, God is being glorified!

"So wake up, you living gateways! Lift up your heads, you doorways of eternity! Welcome the King of Glory, for he is about to come through you." -Psalms 24:7

“Catching the wave of God’s global outpouring”

Dear Friends,

Can you hear it? It’s the sound of a global awakening.

Pursue the Presence of God!  

These are exciting times--the earth is quaking with the sounds of revival and awakening.  The hungry are crying out for God and He is sending His presence in wave after wave.  We are experiencing the power of God's spirit moving mightily all across the globe--from where our feet have landed in Honduras, all the way to Nepal, to Tanzania, to Pakistan, to Kenya and here in the States.  His presence is our passion!   We can't do anything apart from the Lord.  We can only fulfill the purposes in His heart with His Presence.  The indwelling presence and the outpouring presence of the Lord is our pursuit.  

Friends, we are praying that even as you read this simple newsletter, you will experience the presence of God fanning into flame the gifts of His Spirit within you FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS.

N E P A L

Our friend Pam Englade and her niece just arrived back home in the states after spending over a week in Nepal for Commission Mankind's FIRST community well celebration there.  Pastors KB and Sushila Basel oversaw the construction of the well site as a wonderful tool to further the gospel in a country where evangelism is illegal.  This will be a testament to God's goodness for generations to come.  Three more wells have been sponsored for Nepal out of the 13 listed villages requesting water.  We are overjoyed about the spiritual hunger and revival that is occurring there!  Pam and her niece also explored the potential for a safe house to be built in the strategic location near the border of India and Nepal. This would provide refuge for the thousands of victims of sex trafficking that are being rescued through the ministry of the local church there (11,000 rescued since 2011!).

PRAYER POINT:  That God will add to those being saved at every well site and bless the wonderful ministry of Pastors KB and Sushila. That God will provide a SAFE HOUSE for victims of sex trafficking in Nepal

H O N D U R A S

God sent us on a very specific mission in Honduras.  A video was sent to Joel on his first trip to Honduras with James Pursifull of a young girl struggling to carry water, but her location was unknown at the time.  God led Joel to return to Honduras to find this village.  Justin Kelley travelled with him on this second trip and God led them to the exact village of this girl!  We discovered her name is Virginia.  We were overcome with God's love for this young girl and were able to pray for Virginia and bless her.  Virginia's community as well as one other village we felt God leading us to drill in are both very remote and the people have been drinking from a polluted ditch.  Seekers Point church will be partnering with the local church in Honduras to host a community celebration and evangelistic outreach at these well sites in late summer of this year.  If you would like to get involved, here's the link for that trip: Seekers Point Missions

PRAYER POINT:  That the well for Virginia's village will be fully funded, it's already half way there!  That many will be saved, healed, and delivered at these well sites and teams will walk in favor.  

P A K I S T A N

Pakistan wasn't even on our radar this year.  But in prayer one day we mentioned God was putting the Middle East on our hearts.  A couple weeks later, Joel was asked to go to Pakistan.  We asked God to confirm if Joel was to go or not.  We needed to know His presence would go before us.  We had no money for a ticket or for a well there.  But God said go and so we said yes.  Within 10 minutes of me (Joye) telling Joel he had to go to Pakistan, he received a text message saying his ticket was paid for.  With several more confirmations, Joel and Justin Kelley from Renewed Ministries left for Pakistan.  While there, they encountered many dangerous and desperate situations.  At one point, Joel wasn't sure how he could fulfill what God sent him to do--it looked impossible.  But God turned the impossible around and what had looked like a dead end became a miracle beginning.  On top of a trash pile, in the middle of a tent camp, the first Pakistan well was completed while Joel and Justin were there!  Justin and Renewed Ministries committed to four wells and Commission Mankind committed to four.  Eight wells will be drilled as anchor points for the Gospel in this muslim nation.  We know with certainty we will be returning with teams to Pakistan to partner with local Pastor Parvis.  

PRAYER POINTS:  Pray that the Gospel will penetrate the darkness and that people will encounter Christ at the well sites.  Pray for the local Pastor Parvis and his ministry starting christian schools to reach a generation for Jesus.

E A S T A F R I C A

East Africa continues to hold a special focus for our ministry. God is leading our family to return to Kenya to the Machakos hills. East Africa still remains one of the hardest and most expensive places to drill and the need for clean water is staggering. We are believing God for more wells for Africa! Right now we have one well funded for Kenya and one promised for Tanzania. We walk by faith and not by sight and know God has more planned than we could ask or imagine! We have missions teams coming to serve with us at the numerous well sites we have established in Kenya and we are praying for the continued outpouring of God’s Spirit in Kenya. Revival is in the land!

God’s heart for the UNREACHED continues to be our prayer focus and an important part of our vision of CMK. We can’t complete the Great Commission without going where none have heard the Gospel.

Even now, as you read this, Nickson and Ali are headed out on a 3 day journey to the southern part of Tanzania where the Safwa tribe is located. This is a least reached tribe and we will be establishing contact with them in order to drill a well a local church prayerfully committed to sponsoring there! This will be an anchor point for us to share the Gospel. Please pray Nickson and Ali will find the man of peace to connect us to this tribe and will locate a trustworthy driller. God is reaching them!

PRAYER POINTS: Our family’s safety and protection while traveling and ministering. That we will be led by the Lord’s presence. God will bring Provision for more wells and more ministry. That His Spirit will pour out and revive the land! That the Safwa tribe will hear and understand the Gospel and many will be saved, healed and delivered.

LET FAITH BE OUR GIFT TO GOD THIS CHRISTMAS

Joel just returned from Honduras with a Surge director, James Purciful, a week ago and they met with pastors that are ready to plant a church and mission at every well site we do in Honduras. We didn’t even know exactly how that trip was going to be funded. Usually God will provide the funds in just enough time to buy the tickets. This time He provided unexpectedly at the end of the trip through one of his faithful servants! Isn’t it true that faith is a journey we have to take one unseen step at a time? Faith pleases God, so of course He will help us develop our faith!

If you’re facing a lot of unknowns, know that nothing is unknown to God.

Joel and I stood in this exact spot in Nepal with Pastor KB and Pastor Sushila two months ago and prayed for God to intervene on behalf of this community. We arrived on the scene where there was much devastation with nothing in our hands or in our accounts. But we kept taking steps by faith, walking by faith, simply following His Spirit.

Faith is simply this: we don’t need to know how God will come through, we just need to KNOW HE WILL.

WHEN LESS = MORE MIRACLES

We knew God was leading us here and with every site we visited our hearts broke further. When God breaks our hearts and empties our hands until all that’s left is faith in Him, we have learned that He’s setting us up for a miracle. He’s clearing the way for Him to get all the glory. We just open our hands and let whatever small thing we have left go wherever God wants it to go and then we watch a miracle unfold.

This is the story of Christmas…saying yes to God and knowing we can’t possibly give Him anything except our scared and often whispered “yes, Lord.” Just as Mary said, “I am the Lord’s servant. May your word to me be fulfilled.” (Luke 1:38). She didn’t give God a list of why she wasn’t the right one for this role. She didn’t make excuses or ask God how she would provide for a baby when she was only a poor, unmarried teenager. She simply gave God her yes. She trusted God to do what was best.

Use me, Lord. I don’t have anything to give or bring to you except my rights to myself. So come invade my life, come grow inside me even if it’s uncomfortable and different than I expected. Even if I lose everything, if I gain you I will be content.

We can give everything because Jesus is the only thing this world needs.

Mary didn’t have a plan. She wasn’t prepared. Even Joseph was helpless to provide a safe place for Jesus’ birth. But because they said “yes”, nothing could stop God from coming.

JESUS IS COMING, LET’S MAKE HIM ROOM IN US!

We are praying for your hearts to be filled with the incredible love of God! He’s given us his greatest treasure in Jesus! He’s given us EVERYTHING!

“For God has proved his love by giving us his greatest treasure, the gift of his Son. And since God freely offered him up as the sacrifice for us all, he certainly won’t withhold from us anything else he has to give.” (Romans 8:32)
