Glory to God in the Highest!

Glory to God in the Highest!

Dear CMK Family,

We pray your hearts and homes are filled with the blessings Jesus, the very first missionary, brings!  As we celebrate the birth of Jesus we are filled with awe once again at the words the angels proclaimed:

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will towards men."  -Luke 2:14

This year, we saw those words come alive across the nations...

We saw Peace enter villages in Paraguay that had been bound in fear.

We saw Good Will flood communities in Kenya where hopelessness once reigned.

We saw the Glory of God shine in refugee camps and nations where Christians are persecuted.

Through your partnership, prayers, and generosity, clean water flowed, the Gospel of Jesus was preached to the unreached, disciples were made, churches were planted, missionaries were strengthened, and miracles of love unfolded.

Testimony Spotlight: Paraguay, "Transformed By Good Will"

Clean water brought trust.  The Gospel brought transformation.

A Guarani village in Paraguay once rejected the Gospel.  Pastors were run out.  Doors shut tight.  The gospel refused.  But everything changed the day clean water shot up from the earth.  The chief watched quietly as we drilled.  Our missionary partners and local pastor jumped at the opportunity to show him and the village Jesus' love.  And then came the moment we'll never forget.  The chief told our missionary partner, "Because you did what you said you would do, we want to serve your God."

The atmosphere shifted instantly.  From suspicion to openness, from fear to peace.  Meals were shared.  Children gathered clean water.  Our team was invited to return and share the Gospel message at the village celebration of water.  And this was only the beginning!  At the celebration, five villagers put their faith in Jesus and many others received healing.  Now more villages are asking for us to come and drill and share the gospel, asking to be baptized and a church to be built as well.  An area formerly closed off to the Gospel and largely unreached, is now welcoming the Gospel!  With a drilling rig and missionary family committed to this region, it's ready for rapid expansion of the Gospel.  Let's keep sending and going and giving to see the unreached reached!

Highlights of what God did through your partnership just this year:

Our family (Joel and Joye, Boston, Astair, Legend, Story, Ivy and Soul) served again together in Kenya and we hosted three amazing church missions teams throughout the season:  Bethany Church, Pathway Church, and Livingstones Church.  The Mission Church team also visited our newest well site in the slums of Nairobi. We had six incredible young adult missionaries that served with us, driving teams to remote locations and helping with outreaches this season as well.  It's not an easy task, but these young men were instrumental in reaching these remote areas with the Gospel:  Jon Ross, Scout, Ben, Nick, Dio, and Dariyen.  Missionary Pam Englade came to Kenya as well and kept this team fed and alive!
Jon Ross and Scout Mounger served all season with us and we’ve added them to our field missionary page so people can give directly to them.  We've added Erik and Megan on our field missions page too.  Phil Dicharry and Donna Dicharry led the Bethany team again and Phil will be added to our Field Missionaries now!  Phil has officially retired and wants to be even more available for missions.  He will be joining Joel in January in Indonesia.  We love what God is doing through each of their lives and their willingness to keep going to the least!

  • Many distributed to Syrian refugees in Iraq, Syria & Turkey

  • Joel went with Legend, Jon Ross, and Bryce to Turkey in March to deliver water filters to refugees and saw God move in mighty ways.  Joel and Jon Ross ministered in homes in Iraq in January.  Joel & Joye then traveled again to Iraq and Turkey in October to visit and strengthen missionaries Wade and Brittany Delaneuville serving in the field.

In I N D I A...

  • 1 new community well system drilled in leper colony community

  • Local Pastor continuing church planting & discipleship

What a year it has been! All because God sent His Son into our world. Our Redeemer came to us when we could not make it to Him on our own.

We LOVE and THANK YOU and pray you have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Glory to God in the Highest!

We will proclaim His glory with the angels!  His peace and good will to all the earth.

With Much Love in Christ,

Joel and Joye Dicharry and Family

Your giving is making a Kingdom difference

Thank you for partnering with us to share the good news of Jesus to the nations

This is Harvest Season--It's GO Time!

Local Pastor Irenado, missionary Tanner Linn, CMK missionaries Joel, Kright, and Jon Ross drilling the first well drilled with our CMK drilling rig in Paraguay

Dear CMK Family,

As we look around the earth right now, we can sense it and we are witnessing it:  the fields are ripe.  Just as Jesus told His disciples in John 4:35...

"Lift up your eyes and see that the fields are already white for harvest."

What we are witnessing is a global hunger for God.  What we have seen God do in Paraguay just this past week illustrates it beautifully!  Again we saw it in Honduras.  We are seeing it in America on a massive scale.  We are in a harvest season, both physically and spiritually.  This is the time to gather.  And the Lord is reminding us--it's not time to sit back.  It's go time.

The earth is groaning, people are searching, and hearts are open.  What will they hear?  Let's share the Gospel of Jesus and not get distracted by the thief of the harvest.  Harvest is about souls.  I read recently this quote, "consider the value of a soul:  both God and the devil are after it."

Just as farmers rush to bring in the crop before it spoils, so must we move with urgency to share the Good News with the souls Christ died for.  We can't wait for "someday".  The harvest is now.

Paraguay:  A village once hostile to the Gospel is now inviting us in to share Jesus with them!

"We don't know what happened to make this village so hostile to hearing the Gospel,"  explained missionary Tanner Linn who we are partnering with in Paraguay.  Local pastor Irenado and his wife have prayed for years that God would help physically meet needs of their people so they could show them the love of Jesus and have an opportunity to share the Gospel with unreached villages.  God is using the wells to do just that!  The drilling rig arrived in Paraguay a few months ago and Joel, Jon Ross and Kright flew in to drill the first well with this rig.  The chief of the village came to watch the progress and expressed his amazement over the clean water.  Over the course of drilling, he was shown the love of Jesus and he has now invited Pastor Irenado and the Linn family to share the Gospel with his village!  More villages have now requested for our drilling rig to come.  And now THREE motorcycles are funded for reaching these very remote villages with the Gospel! God is making inroads into this unreached people group!  What He continues to do in Paraguay is incredible.  We love the Linn family and how available they are to God's plans and purposes.  We pray for more families to join them and for God's provision over their ministry.  The harvest is ripe in Paraguay.

Honduras:  Preaching the Gospel in a neighborhood terrorized by gangs

Jon Ross and Scout traveled to Honduras to help drill another well and check on some recently completed sites with Pastor Aiden.  While there they preached to a large crowd at an open air crusade.  This was a neighborhood with a lot of gangs.   Jon Ross and Scout both boldly shared their testimonies and the Word of God to a ripe harvest.  Scout later shared that he realized he didn't have to worry about getting every word right, the response to the altar call showed him the power of God and the hunger of the people.  Many people came forward for prayer.  He prayed with two young people to be saved.  We're so thankful for these young men willing to GO and share the Gospel!  We pray God continues to surround them with His provision and might.  The harvest is ripe In Honduras.

India:  A new well in what once was a leper colony

In India, God continues to steadily bring hope to the hopeless.  A young couple that we love contacted us about funding a well instead of remodeling their bathroom.  They gave for another well in India and this one happens to be in what once was a leper colony!  Pastor Joseph shared that the building we drilled the well by was once a hindu temple but is now being  made into a gathering place for Christians.  God is redeeming!  We met with Pastor Joseph here in the states a few days ago and he invited us to his daughter's wedding.  Astair and Story immediately started to pray for God to provide the funds for them to go to India to see the wedding as well as visit the orphanage and wells.  Within an hour, God provided for both their tickets through an amazing woman of God!  He is building their faith and we trust His leading.  The harvest is ripe in India.

Harvest Prayers:

  • Pray fervently for more laborers in the fields as well as for provision for missionary families.  (Matthew 9:37-38)

  • Pray for traveling mercies over Joel and I as we travel to Turkey and Iraq in a few days and for our girls and their aunt Sarah as they travel to India in November

  • Pray for more open doors for the Gospel to be shared and for souls to be saved

  • Pray for your local communities and pastors, for the harvest around you!

Thank you for partnering with us!  We love and pray for you!

Gathering at the Wells of Revival!

Dear CMK Family,

What God has done at the Wells, where the villages have all gathered to hear the Gospel, have us in awe! This is a clear and urgent time in history. It is just as the prophet Isaiah said...

The time is coming to gather all nations and languages, and they will come and see My glory.
— Isaiah 66:18b

When we gather together as many nations, tribes, and tongues with one purpose: to Love and Honor God, God's glory is on display!

What an awesome thing to witness God bringing us all together around His provision at these water wells.  The entire community shows up to celebrate and praise God together and we share the Word of God and the beautiful truth of the Gospel of Jesus.  His love is on display in such a tangible and undeniable way.  At the well celebrations, hundreds gave their lives to Christ and were baptized publicly in the baptistry we construct at each site!  Seeing their faces come up out of that water, new creations in CHRIST, is a miracle that always leaves us in awe.   One woman was blind and received her sight!  A visiting pastor who was there with us from Hammond recounted the miracle!   Another elderly woman was sick and oppressed by a demon and was healed at the same moment the demon was cast out by the power of Jesus' name.  Several others were ministered to as they came out of the waters of baptism and the demons fled.  Many came forward to receive prayer after the Celebration and we know God is continuing to move.

This elderly man above walked four hours through the mountains to reach the village we were preaching and baptizing in. He was so happy to be baptized!!

This year in Kenya...

  • 304  people were Baptized at the Community Well Celebrations!

  • 3,800+  students gave their lives to Jesus in our School Outreaches

  • Four entire schools received new shoes for every child

  • Thousands of school children received school supplies

  • Miracles of healing were witnessed and demons were cast out

  • 75 widows and teen mothers received goats and/or food

  • From these new projects alone, tens of thousands of people are receiving clean water for the first time!

  • Three amazing church mission teams joined us on outreach and many college students came and served with us for the summer

We're so incredibly thankful for everyone who heeded God's call to Go!  These missions are by no means easy.  They are life changing but they are also full of hardship.  We have to give a huge shout out to three young missionaries who stayed with us serving tirelessly the whole season in Kenya this year.  We know their sacrifice is treasured by God-- Scout Mounger, Jon Ross Welch and Legend Dicharry stayed the whole time with Joel and persevered through many long days of scouting, driving teams, and reaching the least.  I (Joye) and our young missionaries Astair, Boston, Story, Ivy, and Soul were there from April to June.  Four more college aged missionaries came to serve until the close of the season:  Ben Coombs, Dio Varela, Dariyen Naranjo, and Nick Maranto.  These guys are incredible servants of God and we're so thankful for their commitment to Him!  Three of them were also baptized this year at the Maasai Well Celebration!

Another amazing missionary family came to serve with us this year as well:  Erik and Megan Mwenda.  They helped lead and plan outreaches as well as organized the shoe ministry which was a HUGE success this year thanks to their tireless work!  We are so grateful for them!!

The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom to the captives and recovery of sight for the blind, to set free the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.
— Jesus in Luke 4:18-19

Jesus made it very clear what the anointing of the Spirit of the Lord is for.  The ministry of the Holy Spirit as Jesus quotes it is for number 1: the preaching of the good news specifically to the poor, number 2: the proclamation of freedom for the captives, number 3: the recovery of sight to the blind, number 4: to set free the oppressed, and number 5: to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.

This is what we allow the Holy Spirit to anoint us for!  This is the purpose of the Spirit of God coming upon us and it's how we recognize and submit to the work of the Holy Spirit.  Where the Gospel is reaching the poor, the Holy Spirit is there.  Where the blind see and the captives and oppressed are set free, the Holy Spirit is there.  Let's go to the poor then.  Let's go to the oppressed and the blind and those sitting in captivity.

Let us keep going, knowing this is why we have the Holy Spirit!

That is exactly what everyone who has served and supported, prayed and given this year has done--allowed the Holy Spirt to move through them.  Thank you for being led by the Holy Spirit!  We're eternally grateful for every one of you!

Every team that came and served brought the presence of God with them. They filled the atmosphere with worship and prayer and laid down lives. It was a blessing to partner with Pathway Church, Livingstones Church, and Bethany Church. Phil and Donna, Joel's mom and dad. led a team again this year and we always look forward to the anointed worship that fills the remote hills of Kenya when they’re here!

We're thankful as well for the local outreach team we partner with every year. Pastor Benson and his outreach team is always a blessing. Pastor Amos and his youth as well. Damaris is leading five women's bible study groups now! I (Joye) enjoyed meeting with them and getting to teach bible studies as well as ministering at local churches. We're thankful for all the work of Simon, our driller, and Mayor and Lily, our construction and village planners as well as Ally who worked as mechanic and Pam who came to keep our home team fed when I was away.  For all the photos Astair captures every year and for the ones Jon Ross captured as well. We are so grateful for every one!

Every single person makes a difference.  The Holy Spirit makes us one.

Prayer Points:

  • For all the new believers in Kenya

  • For those who came and served to be refreshed

  • For the gospel to be proclaimed to the poor, the blind, and the captives

  • For resources for more wells for those in deepest need

  • Joel and I will be traveling to several countries before the end of the year--Turkey, Iraq, and Pakistan.  Joel will be in Paraguay at one point.  Keep us in your prayers as we will keep you in our prayers as well

Until Jesus Returns!

Joel and Joye Dicharry and our Family

The Wells Have Burst Open, Lord Send Revival Again!

Dear CMK Friends and Family,

God has done so much in such a short time!  From God sending Joel, Legend, Jon Ross and Bryce to Türkiye and Syria in the beginning of April to our family along with missionaries Scout and Jon Ross arriving in Kenya the middle of April, it's been a whirlwind.  But we've been hearing the Holy Spirit urge us on through all the hard, "keep digging the wells of revival''.

IN TURKIYE & SYRIA

We partnered with Light a Candle Global to bring whole home water filters to refugees in Türkiye and Syria.  There was no way to cross the border into Syria, but God divinely directed our team's steps to a Syrian woman who organizes aid for Syria and is able to go back and forth across the border.  Holy Spirit led this trip all the way.  Every detail was brought together by God in incredible divine appointments as our team simply walked with Him and let Him lead.

IN KENYA...Nzilani Community WELL

We hit a torrent of water for a very dry and desperate village of Nzilani. Last year, Thad saw circles on a satellite map and told Joel this had to be where people were digging in a dry river bed for water. He knew it was a place in need. We visited, prayed, and ministered there with our home youth group led by John and Winnie Huges, Let's Geaux Missions.

Here's where they used to get water....

Nzilani used to dig for water

in a dry river bed

And now look what God has done!!!  We're praying for the Celebration and Revival that's coming here in just a couple weeks!

Kaunguni Community WELL

The widows all gathered to rejoice and sing as we hit clean water for their community.  They sang about planting trees and having a good life!  It was a joyous time and we can't wait for the Celebration and Revival that's coming.  God is bringing the Living Water of Jesus to Kaunguni!  Please continue to pray for our teams and the church missions teams that are coming to minister to these villages.

Olembuyu Community WELL

Our God is the God of the impossible!  We hit water deep in the bush of Maasai Land!  There is no other water source for miles.  And this deep well is producing 12 cubic meters of water per hour (53 gallons per minute)!  This will provide an overflowing amount of water for these beautiful people in a very barren place.  What a good and glorious God we have!  He pours out His love for all those who hunger and thirst for Him.  It's only through the name of Jesus we have been able to see God provide the miraculous.  May God pour out His Spirit on this well and all who drink from it!

Every year we face challenges that feel insurmountable, it's only God's Holy Spirit that keeps us going.  In Isaiah 10:27 it says:

"The yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing."

This is the verse God has given us to proclaim in every church we minister in.  In every village, in every home, in our own hearts:  "The yoke SHALL BE DESTROYED BECAUSE OF THE ANOINTING"!  The anointing of the Holy Spirit breaks every chain.  It destroys every stronghold.  It sets captives free!  The Holy Spirit brings Revival.  Revival starts in us and then it spreads uncontainable to those around us.  God wants us all to keep contending for revival.

Prayer Points:

  • Protection over our family and team and the teams traveling to minister with us locally and globally.  Protection over all the vehicles and safe transportation.

  • Preparations for ministry in these villages. Our fellow missionary Erick is organizing the shoes and bibles for ministry.  Please keep his family in prayer as they are coming to help lead teams.

  • The anointing of the Holy Spirit to break the yoke of bondage!  At every well site and in all of us.

  • Revival!  That many will be saved, healed and delivered by the name of Jesus

Thank you all for your prayers and support!  They are felt and they make a difference.  We thank God for you!  May God refill and refresh you with the oil of His anointing--His Holy Spirit.

Much Love In Christ,

The Dicharry Family and the CMK missionaries and outreach team

Now Words & New Wine

Now Words and New Wine

Seven new wells have been installed in Pakistan!

“For I the Lord will speak, and whatever word I speak will be accomplished. It will no longer be delayed, for in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and I will fulfill it,” says the Lord God.’ “  Ezekiel 12:25

The Lord is giving His Word and fulfilling it.  Another verse says..

“The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills…” Amos 9:13

.....We are in these days!

This is a year of “Now” words being fulfilled by the Lord. Now words and New wine...planting and reaping all at once!  We are seeing this in the nations.  Years and years of sparse planting and resistance to the Gospel is giving way to abundant harvest!

Already this year, God has provided newly installed wells in Honduras, eight in Guyana, and four in Pakistan!  Also in this new year, God has led us to two new countries, soon to be three.  He specifically impressed two countries in the Middle East—Iraq and Turkey— on our hearts and within weeks He opened the doors and made the connections.  We were asked to come bring water in a partnership with Light a Candle into Iraq and Turkey. Since January, we have been in Guyana, Paraguay, Iraq, and Mexico with a team set to leave for Turkey the end of this month.  What God did in these countries has left us amazed and brimming with hope and joy!!

In Iraq...

Young Syrian refugees whose father was newly baptized just weeks before.

Jon Ross w/refugee.  the left pic had one dream: to read. We were able to purchase iPads for them

Syrian refugees hearing the Gospel + receiving water filters

Many churches in our area contributed to the purchase of $10k worth of whole home water filters from Filter of Hope.  Joel and Jon Ross were able to distribute the filters home to home with Light a Candle missionaries in Iraq.  Being welcomed into homes provided the unique opportunity to share the Gospel out of sight of the Islamic religious leaders.  The people were deeply moved to receive these filters and while showing them how to use them Joel was able to share the Gospel in depth with them.  Many families asked questions about the Gospel for hours!  They were hungry for the truth!  This has sparked an intense desire in us to reach these muslim countries with the Gospel of Jesus.  There is only one young missionary couple in this region sharing the Gospel in homes.  We are praying for them and for more to hear the call from our Savior to go.  The people live in fear and oppression and are desperate for the love of Jesus.  The harvest is ripe!!  Joel will be going to Turkey in late March with Legend, Jon Ross, and Brice to partner again with Light a Candle.

In Paraguay...

young Guarani boy getting clean water for the first time!

Missionary Tanner Linn with Joel in Paraguay

Joel and Kright on mission for water

What GOD DID in PARAGUAY has us in tears!!  An entire Guarani village wants to receive Jesus and be baptized!!  In a remote part of Paraguay, missionaries Tanner and Randi Linn with their young children have learned the Guarani language and have built a church in an effort to reach the still unreached villages of Guarani.  God put it on our hearts to come alongside them and further the gospel by bringing clean water.   We planned to bring $20k to drill a deep well, but ended up only raising $500.  Joel and Kright went anyways knowing God wanted them to go and trusting He would multiply.  God not only miraculously supplied a well, but listen to what the chief said, "Others have come to tell us about your God but left, but because you have done what you said you would, we want to serve your God.  Our village wants to be baptized."

So many miracles!!  The back story is that the small drill they found was unreliable and the driller kept disappearing, so they gave up on it and left the site, leaving it up to God to get the well accomplished.  God showed up!!  The next day they got a call that clean water was flowing! That day God also provided a commission mankind drilling rig which is being shipped to Paraguay and the first six wells for more Guarani villages are fully funded!  We need ten more villages to receive wells and we are believing God to complete the good work He has begun.  When God guides, He absolutely provides!

In Guyana...

jungle transportation

Caleb, Jared, and Scout drilling wells

in all kinds of weather

In December Joel led a team of missionaries to Guyana to drill wells in the jungle.  In February, those two missionaries Jared and Scout and one more young missionary named Caleb, took what they learned and returned to Guyana to successfully drill eight wells for villages that are very hard to reach! This was an incredible accomplishment and Joel was excited that it was done while he was in another country on mission. These are God's yes men and they persevered through intense heat, rainfall, challenging jungle transportation, and very little resources to work with.  They slept in hammocks in the jungle and Jared was bitten by a poisonous spider.  Thankfully he was treated here in the States and has recovered.  We're thankful for these mighty laborers in the Kingdom!  Thank you for keeping our missions teams in your prayers.

In Pakistan and Honduras...

In Pakistan, four wells have been finished!  This is a LIGHT in a dark place very closed to the Gospel.  We are partnering with a solid ministry led by Pakistan Christians and a cement marker is engraved with 'JESUS IS THE LIVING WATER' in Urdu!  In a place where few missionaries go, the ROCKS are testifying of JESUS.  God amazes us.

In Honduras, Pastor Aiden continues to use the Commission Mankind drilling rig to help hurting villages.  The most recent one was done for a village that lined up for the water with all their jugs at the ready.  They were so excited and so grateful to God.  It never gets old to see people drinking clean water for the first time.

THANK YOU for being a part of this NOW WORD (The Living Word) and NEW WINE (The Living Water) movement of God's heart for the nations!  Many more are sitting in darkness and thirsty for the Living Water only Jesus can provide.

Prayer Points:

+ We are praying for God to keep guiding us to those harvest fields ripe for the Gospel in unreached areas!  Believing God to continue to provide for Nepal wells.  And for more in the Middle East, India, Asia and Mexico.  All over the world, Lord!

+Joel will be leaving this month for Turkey with our son Legend and Jon Ross and Bryce.  God's guidance, supernatural connections, and protection is needed.  They will be doing a water project in the area of the biblical Antioch.

+Our whole family along with our awesome field missionaries Jon Ross and Scout will be returning to Kenya in April and we are praying for protection and God's Spirit to empower us for His work.

Your prayers and your support are continually being multiplied in God's hands!

In Christ's Love and Blessings,

Drawing from the WELLspring of Life--Jesus

Dear Family In Christ,

A few weeks ago we had our first team arrive from Eagle Heights Church of Memphis and we made the long journey to the Maasai well Celebration in Nkiu near the Masa Mara.  It was one of the most rigorous trips we have made with a large team but in the end all the hardship was worth it to see FIVE Maasai give their lives to Christ Jesus and be baptized!

The mountain trail we had to traverse to get to this remote village had been ravaged by rains.  We had to cross several rivers and climb steep mountain ravines.  It was a battle to get our vehicles there and back safely two times.  Our amazing team drivers put everything they had into scaling this mountain.  We're so thankful for the way they faced this challenge with courage and determination.  It was a miracle we made it!

We had a lot of vehicle break downs and physically and emotionally we were all feeling the effects of intense spiritual warfare.  Joel had to go up the mountain at 3 am to prepare the baptismal for the celebration.  He ended up sleeping in a hammock connected to the well.  That morning when we all arrived at the well site we felt the presence of God.  We partnered with local missionaries Aaron and Stephanie Domengeaux and pastors associated with Kufikia International to bless the widows with goats and food staples.  It was a beautiful celebration full of Maasai worship songs and dances.  The gospel was preached and there were many that came forward for prayers for healing and deliverance.  We saw God's Spirit move powerfully on some of the newly baptized believers.

"for I satisfy the thirsty person and feed all those who are weak."

Jeremiah 31:25

The Lord is our strength.  When we are weak and tired and thirsty, He provides all we need.  It's painful when we come to the end of ourselves, but only at the end of our resources can Christ begin to truly satisfy us.  His wellspring never runs out.  But we have to intentionally draw from Him--bury our lives deep within Him and keep our connection with Him strong.  It's in knowing He has all we need and freely gives it to us, we can be replenished.

It's so important to remain connected to our Wellspring--Jesus.  And to keep on adding to our faith and trust in Christ even when the cost is high and it's not easy.  This particular well site was drilled five times and didn't hit water until the fifth try.  The government said there was no water and others said it couldn't be done.  We heard God tell us to pray and contend for it--to obey Him and begin the work--trusting that He would provide the water and the way.  He provided!!  Through New Wine Christian Fellowship, Eagle Heights Church of Memphis and many of you, God made a way!!  We are so thankful for all of you.

This was an intense and rigorous trip and we are grateful for the way Eagle Heights Church of Memphis and Pam Englade pressed on in grace and in prayer. They blessed our family and team so much and encouraged our hearts mightily. The Lord brought a lot of healing through them. It was wonderful to see the young people that came serving and sharing the gospel, the children that received new shoes and the widows that are rejoicing over God's provision!

We want to encourage you that Jesus has all we need and it flows into our lives as we REMAIN in Him--trusting in His goodness and mercy and faithfulness towards us.  Diligently stay close and  connected to His Wellspring.

Friends, we want to thank you for the way you love what God loves and obey Him in supporting His Great Commission.

Prayer Points:

  • Be in prayer with us for the missions teams we have scheduled to the end of July

  • We are praying for Holy Spirit to lead and guide us and to empower us to do His will and preach the Gospel of Jesus

  • Pray that many souls will hear and put their trust in Jesus!

  • Pray that our vehicles will not break down or need anymore costly repairs.

  • Pray for the refreshing and blessing of our team

May God strengthen you and bless you and your families!  May Jesus return to find us all faithfully serving Him.  And may we remain in His Love.

The Lord is Bringing His Saving Strength

April   ||   CMK 2024

Dear Family In Christ,

God's love is wrapped into all His works!  Psalm 145 is our anthem--God's kindness never fails!

Our family of nine arrived on Kenyan soil April 2 and we immediately began water testing in Maasai land, scouting for a new well site, and sharing the Gospel in the market place and in our local church.  Despite sickness and Thad wrecking on his dirt bike while scouting for a remote location, God has kept us.  Thad is almost fully recovered, the torn tendons in his arm are healing.

The very place in Maasai land where we are drilling is the place we took missions teams last year and bowed low in the dust asking God for water for this suffering community.  In the dust we prayed and from the dust, God brought water!

In spite of many challenges and even drilling one dry hole, God answered!!

"God, everyone sees your goodness, for your tender love is blended into everything you do.  Everything you have made will praise you, fulfilling its purpose.  And all your godly ones will be found bowing before you.  They will tell the world of the lavish splendor of your kingdom and preach about your limitless power.

They will demonstrate for all to see your miracles of might and reveal the glorious majesty of your kingdom

Psalms 145: 9-12

It's us, God's people, that bow low to lift Him high.

These verses in Psalms 145 define our purpose.  We "will tell the world of the lavish splendor of your your kingdom and preach about your limitless power".  And we  "will demonstrate for all to see your miracles of might and reveal the glorious majesty of your kingdom."

It goes hand in hand--Telling the world of God's power and demonstrating His miracles.

"You have captured our attention and the eyes of all look to you.  You give what they hunger for at just the right time.  When you open your generous hand, it's full of blessings, satisfying the longings of every living thing.  You are fair and righteous in everything you do, and your love is wrapped into all your works.  You draw near to those who call out to you, listening closely, especially when their hearts are true.  Every godly one receives even more than what they ask for.  For you hear what their hearts really long for, and you bring them your saving strength."

Psalms 145: 15-19

The Lord brings His Saving Strength!  When we are weak and we don't see any way forward, we have a God who listens when we call to Him and He draws near with saving strength.

In the following weeks, we will begin testing and drilling in another very suffering community God led Joel and Thad to find.  We will be preaching at a conference for youth and sharing the gospel wherever God opens the door.  Joye continues to teach a weekly women's Bible study with the local women of our village.  We are also working on planning outreaches and preparing our vehicles so we can transport the five missions teams that are coming to serve with us.

We continue to pray for REVIVAL of this land!  May God pour the river of His Spirit out!

Prayer Point:  For the next well site to be drilled successfully.  That the Gospel will go forward at every well site and many will be saved, healed, and delivered in Jesus' name.  For REVIVAL.  For traveling mercies and spiritual covering over all.  For Jesus to be Glorified and receive the reward of His suffering.

We thank God for every single one of you who continue to pray for us and support what God is doing!

May God strengthen you and bless you and your families!  The nations belong to the Lord and they are Christ's inheritance.  May He return to find us all faithfully serving Him.

Love In Christ,

Joel, Joye, and the Magnificent Seven
