Jesus is Always Right on Time! — Commission Mankind

Dear CMK Family,

There's a theme already emerging this year and it is this: Jesus is Right on Time. In Luke 19, Jesus sends His disciples ahead of him with very specific instructions:

"You will find a colt tied there..untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks, say: 'The Lord needs it.'"

And just like that, when they said those words of Jesus, the owner didn't hesitate to give it. God had already prepared the provision before the need ever arose. Nothing takes God by surprise.

Unforgettable Miracle Provision--a moment we won't forget

The deadline to buy our family's tickets to Kenya for ministry this year had already passed. Every year, God has provided in an unforeseen way. But the moment had come--and we were short. Joel was staring at the ticket prices, about to call me with the dilemma, when a number texted him out of the blue. He called the number to find out who it was and the man told him God put it on his heart to ask us if our ministry had any needs. Within minutes, he committed to buying our family's tickets to Kenya! God was right on time--down to the exact minute.

Water in the Desert...Kenya

That same generosity didn't stop there. We've been praying for a well for a Turkana tribe near Isiolo. Our Kenya Missions Directors Erik and Megan have often traveled to this region, and the need is dire. But God had already gone before us. Last year, the well was partially funded and this January it became fully funded!

When drilling began, they hit more water than anyone has ever seen in that region. The Turkana people are rejoicing and we are all very excited about the Gospel Celebration Service we will have there with our family and a missions team. We're praying for salvations!

Breaking Through...Honduras

In Honduras, Joel, Ale, and Gary along with local Pastor Aiden drilled two wells in communitties in need with a new drilling rig capable of much more capacity. They also tested for water in several places. Ale prayed fervently for water for a village in desperate need and consecrated the spot where testing was successful. Gary committed to helping another suffering community receive a well. We continue to see God provide through His faithful servants.

God's Presence Goes Before.... In Iraq

With all that's been happening in the Middle East and with the airport closed due to missile strikes, we went into a lot of prayer over this trip and still felt strongly that God wanted us to go. Joel, Phil, and Jon ended up meeting up with another friend who works in Iraq and crossed the border through Turkey. Everything went smoothly and there was no doubt God's timing was perfect. We were able to spend time with our friends there--true Champions in the Kingdom-- the Delaneuvilles. God put it on our heart to help raise funds for a much needed truck for them. Through God's generous people, we were able to purchase the truck before we left. What an on time God!

God's underground church is very small, but alive in Iraq. We were able to join in worship and prayer with a prayer movement, leading worship for one of their sets even as the power went out. It became clear that God had us there to encourage His hidden and persecuted church. One local Christian woman expressed that she had been praying for strength to continue and she was in tears as she told me on a FaceTime call how God had sent us right on time. Those who are first generation Christians have had to give up everything to follow Christ.

Sitting in homes of the locals, we were invited to share the Gospel all the way from Adam to Christ. We spent time praying for families as they expressed their desire to know more. One young man has only been a Christian for one month and he asked Pastor Jon to baptize him. It had to be done in secret, but all of Heaven was rejoicing.

Jesus is Never Late.

He is always Right on Time.

He prepares hearts in advance.

He positions provision before we arrive.

And at the exact moment--He releases it.
